Nicolas Jackson Chelsea scored a goal and was voted “Man of the Match” in Chelsea’s friendly game against Brighton. He shared with his Chelsea teammates that he felt “excited and happy” and was ready for his new life at the club.
Chelsea’s £31 million signing, Nicolas Jackson, adapted to life in London quite swiftly after his move from Villarreal. The Senegalese forward scored his fourth goal for Chelsea in a dramatic 4-3 victory over Brighton in the first match of the Premier League Summer Series in the United States on Saturday night. In addition to his goal, Jackson provided two assists to his teammates in the second game for Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

Jackson stated that he felt comfortable immediately at Chelsea and had good interactions with his teammates both on and off the pitch. Consequently, he had an impressive start for his new club. “I’m really pleased with my teammates,” the forward told NBC after the match. “I feel truly at ease at Chelsea, and that’s why I performed well in this game. You know, when I feel comfortable with everyone, everything will go really well.”

Jackson’s efforts on the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia earned him the “Man of the Match” award, a recognition he hopes will be the beginning of many more accolades to come.
As for the recent match in the United States, Danny Welbeck put Brighton ahead early with a well-executed volley, assisted by Kaoru Mitoma and Billy Gilmour. But despite conceding early, Chelsea equalized thanks to another newcomer, Christopher Nkunku, who scored his second goal in two games.
In the second half, Brighton played with only ten men, and Chelsea took a 2-1 lead through a beautiful long-range volley from Mykhailo Mudryk, assisted by Jackson with a clever one-two pass, before the Ukrainian striker unleashed an unstoppable shot.
Conor Gallagher later added a goal to make it 3-1 in the 72nd minute, before the new signing, Jackson, broke free from Brighton’s defense to score his first goal for The Blues. Brighton tried to seek a draw as Joao Pedro scored from a penalty before Deniz Undav netted the final goal of the match for Brighton.
Thus, Chelsea secured their second victory under the reign of Pochettino following a 5-0 win against Wrexham on Wednesday.
